Our Middle School Falcons represent The École in the Confederation of New York School and Team Sports (CONSAT) League. Every year, our 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Falcons participate in the volleyball, basketball, and soccer seasons. The Falcons also have the opportunity to play a short basketball game at Madison Square Garden, participate in a soccer showcase at the Red Bull Arena, and attend tournaments in other cities organized by the AEFE (Agency for French Schools Abroad).

In the past, registration for the Falcons was open to every Middle School student who wished to participate, but, as announced in May, on account of the growing number of students in Middle School in 2024-2025, there will be tryouts to join the squads for 2024-2025.

The first tryouts for the volleyball team will be held on Wednesday, September 11, from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. The 12-player volleyball squad will be announced on Friday, September 13. Training for the volleyball season will begin on Wednesday, September 18, and will be held every week from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. until Wednesday, November 13.

The second tryouts will be for the basketball team. They will be held on Wednesday, November 20, from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. The 10-player basketball squad will be announced on Friday, November 22.  Training for the basketball season will begin on Wednesday, December 4, and will be held every week from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. until Wednesday,  February 26.

The third tryouts will be for the soccer team. They will be held on Wednesday, March 5, from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. The 10-player soccer squad will be announced on Friday, March 7.  Training for the soccer season will begin on Wednesday, March 12, and will be held every week from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. until late the end of May.

There will be approximately six game days per season. Traditionally, game days are on Thursdays and consist of two matches against other schools in the CONSAT League. We will share the CONSAT League schedule with players and their parents as soon as it has been confirmed (usually one month ahead of each season’s first game day.)

We understand that there may be more students trying out for the Falcons squads than will make the team and that by the time the squad is announced, the After-School activities on offer on Wednesdays and Thursdays may already be full. We therefore encourage parents to reserve After-School activities for their children when registration opens on Monday, July 15, at 12 p.m. (EST). If your child makes one of the Falcons squads, you will be refunded for any After-School activities missed.
