Weekly Letter from Jean-Yves - Finding the Ideal Balance

The return of After-School activities means the return of conversations in the lobby of the Elementary and Middle School Building with parents who are waiting to pick up their kids from drum class or Capoeira. It’s a chance, as the day is winding down and I’m preparing to head home, for me to catch up with moms and dads I don’t see that often. During one of those catch-up conversations, Ilkka (Cato from 2nd Grade’s dad) recommended a podcast that had really made him think.

Weekly Letter from Jean-Yves - A Play in Three Acts

On Monday, I welled up in the middle of my speech during the Kindergarten graduation; I was overcome by emotion at the sight of the children that I had first met three years ago when they were in Nursery – they were masked up, and we were all keeping a social distance of one meter. I would have loved for you to have been at the Maternelle Building on Monday and to have seen how wonderful they were on stage.
