The Ocean-dentist is a boat and a dental-cabinet that crosses the seas and oceans to provide toothbrushes and useful dental health-care advice to children!
On May 30th the Pre-K and Kindergarten students of the École, as well as the 4th and 6th graders had the pleasure of meeting Chloe and Antoine, the couple who started this project around the world by boat. Their mission is mainly oral health education and ease of dental care for children. Indeed, Antoine cares for young patients on the boat, which represents an original and entertaining experience for children. This project meets a phenomenal success through the oceans. After a passage through Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Martin and Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Chloe and Antoine have just put their moorings on the Hudson River. The students of The École have been captivated by their travel stories, their educational “mission” and the modern nature of this public health project. They made the kids feel good about the health of their teeth and instilled in them the correct daily actions for perfect dental hygiene. The students of The École have had the privilege of receiving as a gift the only toothbrush manufactured in France by Bioseptil in the colors of the national flag.
